The studies haven't been done yet and at this point there is a vague ambiguity to the answers regarding water sources for this project. On the "you tube" video it seemed that Tenaska is even considering a pipeline from the Susquehanna River. That will require another environmental impact and considerable negotiations for "right of way". Hurricane Agnes

Hurricane Agnes hit the Swatara Watershed hard in the summer of 1972. I don't know how much rain fell in the Swatara watershed but news reports at the time said as much as 19 inches fell in Schuylkill County, which was likely the record for any county impacted by Agnes - barely a hurricane by conventional measurements when it made the initial landfall in the Florida Panhandle area on June 19. Monroe Valley

I grew up on a farm in just east of the Monroe Valley Golf Course in Monroe Valley. I actually worked for the Monroe Valley Golf Course for four summers beginning in 1968, the summer it opened.

The Swattie was a favorite hangout. I would bike there to swim in Glen's Hole - just north of the bridge coming in from Rte 72. At that time there were still coal dirt beaches along the Swatti. Our feet would get black with the coal dirt when we got out of the water.
